Four and Done

Last night, little man was up at 2:00. I went in, rocked him to sleep, put him back in bed, walked back through the house, crawled back into my bed, and just before I fell back asleep, he started crying again. This happened 4 TIMES! Yes, you read that right, FOUR TIMES!!!!! After the 4th time, I brought him into our bed. After spending about ten minutes playing with my hair and poking Chase's face, he was fast asleep.

This was a first for us. I'm blaming it all on being off schedule for the past couple days. But, little man better not make a habit out of it because I am exhausted today!

On another note, we are done nursing!! YEAH!!! It was actually really easy to wean him. He had gone down to twice a day, then to once a day. But, instead of his once a day being at night (like most kiddos), he liked to nurse in the morning. Things got busy last week, and we just sort of stopped nursing. Now, he gets up, gets his milk in a sippy cup and then later eats breakfast. It's worked out really well! The last time he nursed was last Sunday. He woke up early in the morning, I went in and nursed him and he fell asleep on my chest. We slept that way until it was time to wake up. It was really sweet!

Oh, and I waited a full week after he had finished, and then had my first glass of wine on Sunday night!
