Thankful

So, I think I have been so afraid to blog because I am SO far behind and I will never get caught up. I think that is pretty much my life right now...one step behind. However, I am so thankful I am staying in the race.

My heart has been a little heavy lately. My friend, Whitney, has a friend, Melissa, who has two kiddos and is 33 weeks pregnant with her third. They have discovered that Melissa has stage 4 cancer in her breast, liver, and bones! They are delivering her baby boy this week to start chemo ASAP! I don't even know this girl, but it makes my heart super heavy and I have been praying constantly for her.

Then, over at Kelly's Korner blog, I read the story of a family with 4 young kids. The dad went it for routine surgery and his heart stopped on the table. I can't even imagine what that momma is going through right now. She has been on my mind an in my prayers as well.

It makes anything I am going through right now feel a little more insignificant. I know life is short and we are not guaranteed tomorrow, but it's so sad to think such young people, people my age, are fighting battles like these!

I am thanking God today for these guys and hugging them a little tighter tonight!!!
