Today at school one of my kids...Let's call her Annie because that is her name...Came up to me after class:
"Mrs. Tanner, I heard a rumor about you and I wanted to know if it was true or not." Now, at this point I'm thinking...great, what are the kids saying now!!
"Yes, Annie?!?"
"Well, I heard you were pregnant." "Actually Annie, I am, can you not tell by my protruding belly?" "I didn't know and I didn't want to ask if you weren't really pregnant because I was worried that would be rude." (It didn't hit me until later how t
actful she had been...More tact in fact than many adults!) Anyway, she was so excited, she gave me a big hug and told me to have a great day.I guess it's things like that that make teaching worth it, but I don't know that I will miss it too much once I'm done!
On to other things...Chase and I have been talking about Carnivale this year. It's so much fun! Here are some photos from last
year. I was so looking forward to it again this year, but it's exactly two weeks after Colt is due! I don't know that I will make it; however, Mom has agree that she could bring him to me at some point in the night so I could feed him and that her and Dad would babysit! It may work...it just depends on a lot of things and I guess we'll see as time get's closer! I told Chase he could always take Tiffanie if I couldn't go, so at least he has a back-up!
