Changes

So, we finally went out and bought Colt a new "convertible" car seat. Dr. Raley informed us that he was getting too big for his Chicco car seat and that it was time to move him up. I did a lot of research for the best car seat for the most reasonable price. We decided on the Safety First Alpha Omega Elite. After spending some time getting it installed, then uninstalling it to make sure we had done it correctly the first time. We walked back into the house and saw his old car seat sitting by the front door, and I broke down bawling. My baby is growing up too fast, I just can't believe it.
Anyway, Colten got to ride in it for the first time last Friday.

As big as he is getting, and as quickly as he is growing up, I know that getting the new car seat was really for the best. He loves it so much because he is able to see out as we are driving. I have a feeling though that before I turn around, we won't be buying him another new car seat, we will be buying him a car...And I can't bear to think about that right now...

  1. A car... oh my... that IS scary!!! The cure for your sadness about him growing up, though, is definitely having another baby :)

  2. What a sweet post. I am sorry you cried. He is growing quickly....but not quite ready for his own car. ;)

I can't wait to see ya in a couple of weeks.

What is Dr. Raley's reasoning on not waiting until he is a year to face him forward?

  3. Annie, I'm going to ignore that statement! :)

Cheri, he is still facing backward, just in a bigger carseat! :)

  4. Oh! ha ha. I see that now. He just looked so grown up sitting there I wasn't used to the carseats looking like that facing backwards. :D
