A New Tradition

Last night, we started a new tradition for our family of three...We carved pumpkins.

Chase has never been a fan of pumpkin carving, and I have to admit, I'm not that into it either. It's sticky and gross and smelly, BUT we knew it was something fun and would be a great tradition for our family.

Colt LOVED it. Once he knew it was okay, he was all in it! So much to the point that he had to have his second bath for the day after we were finished.

I'm ready to go dad!!

Getting Started

What's in the bowl??

Oh, I can touch it?

It's kind of slimy...

Really, mom??? You just put it on my lap...I am so not amused!!

Okay, this is a little better...

Well...maybe this is fun!

Look, it has two bottom teeth...Just like me!!!

Yeah...We're done!!

In the end, it was something fun to do, and we have a cute result. I actually turned to Chase at one point and said, "Can you imagine when we have like 5 kids and we have to carve 5 of these things?" Maybe at that point we'll just paint our pumpkins instead...
