Book Review

We have a night time ritual in our house. After dinner we play, and sometimes take a bath, but right before it's time to go to bed, I read one book to Colt, then a story from his Bible, then we pray with him. It's the same every night. I used to read a book to him entitled "The Going to Bed Book". I really love that book, but now I have it memorized, so sometimes (if time allows) I just recite it to him. But, we don't really consider it reading anymore because we know it by heart.

Anyway, back to the point of this post...Tonight we read the best, saddest, most "make you think" children's book that I have yet to encounter. It's entitled "Let me Hold You Longer" and the author is Karen Kingsbury.

If you haven't heard of it, or have never read it, I would HIGHLY recommend it to any mother, but especially the mother of a baby boy. I'm not going to give anything else away, but just read it and if it doesn't make you slow down and enjoy each and every moment, nothing will!

"Let me hold on longer, God, to every precious last."
