Christmas

So, I know I'm a week late on this, and have already done a New Year's post, but I realized that I had yet to load my Christmas pictures on the computer, thus I had yet to blog about Christmas.

All in all, we had a WONDERFUL Christmas. We celebrated five different times! We are so blessed to have large families, who still find it important to get together and celebrate the birth if Jesus.

Colt's first Christmas experience was at his Grandma Myra and Papa Nelson's house for the Baldridge Christmas. We had so much fun with all of them! The cousins played so well together and the big boys were definitely having fun taking care of the little boys and showing them how things are done! I was very impressed with both Connor and Hunter and how much they cared for and played with Colten and Easton.

Colt got a new book and stuffed animal, a ride-on toy, and some really cool camouflage house shoes/cowboy boots!
Our second Christmas was at Grandma Margie's house. This was the first Christmas without my grandpa. It was very strange for him not to be there, but overall we had a good Christmas. It was good that everyone got to get together. There are 17 great-grandkids in total; however, only 9 were there!

Colten got a really cute sweater, a blanket, dreamcatcher, and a Precious Moments prayer angel.

Next we went back to Grandma Myra and Papa Nelson's house for Christmas eve. We went to lunch first and then spent most of the afternoon with Chase's family. We had a really great time and it was really fun to see Colten and Easton interact on their first Christmas.

Colten got a ride-on Cars car, a really fun play cube, a ball popping game, and some stackable blocks! He loved his car the best and really just loves being pushed around on it all the time!

After that, we headed out to Mimi and Papa's for Christmas eve and Christmas day! Once again, we all spent the night so that Santa would come! The girls had our usual matching pajamas, and Claire and Colt had matching jammies this year as well! We had a really good time, even though Colt would not fall asleep. For the first time EVER, Chase had to put him in the car and drive him around until he went to sleep! Even though it was a rocky night, Christmas morning, Santa had come!

Colt got some really great gifts! I don't think I can list them all, but Santa brought him a tunnel, basketball goal, and xylophone, plus everything that was in his stocking. He also got a name puzzel, clothes, and more toys!

Finally, we had our last Christmas celebration at Grandpa and GrandJoy's house on New Year's Day. Like always, it was really great to get together with my mom's family. We usually only see them once a year. Unfortunately, my cousin and his wife couldn't make it and Chase was sick. Even though our numbers were down, we still had a great time with them!

Colten got a great toy box, musical penguin, pillow pet, and Scentsy lion.

I could not imagine a better first Christmas for Colten! It is my hope that we talked about and tried to explain the true meaning of Christmas to him enough and that is something that we continue to teach him. Yes, he got several great presents, but the best present of all was the baby who came in a manger 2010 years ago! It is my prayer that Colten learns, belives, and lives that all of his life.

We wish you and yours a wonderful 2011!
