Catch Up Part 1

Baby+Blogging=Hard work-----Hence me not blogging on a regular basis!

So, to catch up since birth. Colt was born on Wednesday, and we went home on Friday. My wonderful mom stayed with us for the weekend and did AMAZING things around our house. The weekend was great, except none of us got much sleep. They tell you all newborns do is eat, sleep, and poop, but they fail to mention that they eat, sleep and poop AFTER your milk comes in! Colt didn't eat, sleep, and had very little poop all weekend!! However, my milk came in by Sunday afternoon and we met an entirely different baby. Oh the wonders of the human body! Mom left on Sunday and I had my first break-down. I don't think anyone mentioned to Chase how emotional postpartum women are, but I cried like a baby when she left and have cried over many trivial things since. I think it just hit me that she was gone and how much she did for us to help us out the first few days. I am truly blessed to have an amazing mother and hope that I can be like her!
