SAHMs

Today I remembered why the SAHMs (Stay At Home Moms) are a different crowd.... I did make that acronym up the other day, though I'm sure I'm not the first one....After attending an adorable baby shower this morning for my friend Cheri (and baby Alyx too), I left Chase at home with lil man to go run some errands. I didn't need anything major, mainly I wanted to spend the 50% off coupon I got from Michaels.

Anyway, being a Saturday, everyone was out! The parking lots, store lines, and everywhere else was full!! I quickly got frustrated with how rude the weekenders are....Yes, this is another term I made up referring to people who work during the week and do everything on Saturdays...It was ridiculous. I literally had to wait for 3 or 4 cars to pass just to walk across the parking lot to my car because no one would stop and let me walk in front of them. No one, and I mean, no one makes eye contact with you. If you accidently run into someone's cart (and I must admit in all the chaos I did this twice today), you get a dirty look. And the cashiers and sales people aren't as friendly. Now, during the week, when really it's only the SAHMs and the retirees out and about, there are very rarely full parking lots, stores, or lines. You don't have to wait on cars to pass because someone will stop to let you walk. Everyone smiles and talks, and the cashiers and sales people are super friendly and helpful! I actually enjoy running errands during the week, as opposed to my total dislike of today!

I noticed this same concept about the SAHMs vs. the weekenders a couple months ago when I got out on a Saturday, but thought that maybe it had something to do with the rush of the Christmas holiday that was then quickly approaching. However, St. Patty's Day is in a couple weeks, and Easter is still a few weeks away, so I don't think that give anyone an excuse on being rude now.

One thing is for sure, I think I'm going to try to do my shopping during the week with the other SAHMs!!

Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me??
