It musta been the moon

I'm not usually a whiner. Really, I'm not. But, I think I need to whine for a bit. Monday was a bad day. Period.

It didn't start out bad. In fact, the early morning started out well. I was up on time and went to babysit the Trevino boys, just like every Monday, but that was about the extent of the goodness.

Mid morning, Colten had two handfuls of sand thrown in his face. Ouch! We were picking sand out of his ears and hair ALL DAY.

Around lunch, Colten started running a fever. Nothing too high, but between 100 and 101. Dislike.

After babysitting, I was supposed to head straight down to Blanchard to see Brianne (it's been like 5 weeks...I'm kinda having withdraws) when my car died. Quite literally died, as in dead as a doornail, as in power locks aren't even working, as in I didn't know that was possible. Oh, and did I mention that this happened WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD??? No? Oh, yeah it did. Luckily I was still in the area and my handsome husband came to my rescue. Turns out the battery decided it was done.

Monday early afternoon, my sister and brother-in-law had to put their 12-year-old Labrador, Kylie down. Heartbreaking? Yes. Still upset about it? Definitely.

Monday late afternoon, my cousin and her husband who are desperately trying to adopt a child that they have been fostering since he was a day old, got some pretty bad news about the adoption. It was really frustrating.

The only good news that we got on Monday was that Colt's buddy, Noah, got to go home from the hospital. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that. Noah was admitted Sunday due to breathing difficulty. Luckily, they sent him home on Monday with an inhaler and breathing treatments.

When I was teaching, you could usually tell when it was a full moon just by the way the kids were acting. Things were just out of sorts.

So, I'm going to blame Monday on the moon. Then, I'm just going to pray that things get better!
